I’m looking forward to the event so much so that I’ve decided to review a Garage classic from 1991, a track that I first heard on a Tony Humphries mix back in the day – “Alright” by Urban Soul aka Roland Clark. Listening to this track again brings back fond memories of Adidas Gazelles, slick baggies and serious jives to the sounds of the underground. The stabs here are PHAATTT, the militant breaks are rockin’ and Roland’s singing on this cut is pure Garage Soul flava! Oooooohh yeah… makes ya wanna shake that money-maker.. keep them heads a boppin’, bringin’ ya down to ya knees AIGGGHHHTTTT ; )
