I’m going back to the deep house sound of New Jersey and giving mad props to one of my all time favourite producers – the king of the deep bassline, the honcho of house himself – Mr. Kerri Kaoz Chandler. Spotlight of the week is something close to my heart, a track that blew me away the first time I heard it and still blows me away till today, Kamar’s In Every Way on the legendary Movin’ Records.
How do I describe a song like this… it’s simplistic in composition yet something that not every producer can pull off. It’s hard groovin’ yet only for the real movers. It’s sexy yet expensive… it’s the reason this thing we do is called HOT-4-U.
Kamar otherwise known as Maryam Abdulihad was destined to sing this song. The voice, the emotion, the desire, the need, the sleaze.. phoooooo.. in every fuckin’ way. On the production side, Kerri jacked this song like there was no tomorrow. The beat, the kick, the bumpin’ b-line, the organs, heavy… in every way.
It’s almost impossible to buy this song on mp3 so if you don’t own a turntable, my best suggestion would be to go to amazon or ebay and look out for this song on Kinky Trax 2. Even if it’s for this song, I say buy the CD cos they don’t make class like this anymore. Enjoy the sample and have a good week.
Tangkap This!!!
