Mr ALADDIN! A whole new world! A new fantastic point of view! So so so true for me… I never thought I’ll be one day writing a review about Peeee Booooh. But man… his first outing at Capitol is CAPITOL SIIIIIIICK!!! I don’t think anything else in his career can better this album, it’s as if he’s been flying on a magic carpet long before he had some Disney “magic”.
I say… MAADD Props to Richard Evans!!!! Chicago soul-jazz bassist, accomplished producer/arranger for the Cadet label. It’s the latter talent that led to this wonderfully blended modern-soul album for Peeee Booooohhh. I’m not sure which carpet Evans was flying on at that time but it definitely flew him high enough to make such smooth arrangments for this album, which goes so well with Peeeee Booooh’s deep sexy (ahem) voice. This IS Capitol RARE.
Did I mention “Reaching For The Sky” LP went GOLD and the title spotlight track made it to number 6 on the R&B Charts? Clap clap! Reaching For The Sky has got all the right moves, the catchy steps, the Capitol Rare grooves, and Peeee Booohh’s want-to-cum-but-don’t-wanna-ram-2-hard kinda tone, damn best. It’s also best for morning 5BX, touching your toes then reaching for the sky. Peee Boooh! So if you are the real kinky type of humsup like me, I totally recommend that you ONLY listen to this Peee Boooh LP.
