This album is for all Jazz Headz seeking a wonderful re-visitation of the piano-driven grooves recorded by Italian jazzman Marco Di Marco. The album contains 10 remixes taken from recordings found in his album “My London Friends” and “At the Living Room.” It retains much of the depth and elements of the originals. Most notable are “Solaria: Chapter One”, “Bossa of the Future”, “Solaria: Chapter Two” (Tech Jazz Rekonstruktion) and many more.
Our spotlight track in focus is of course a heavy hitter and will no doubt hit your G-SPOT. The title is “Brazilian Waltz” which kind of reminds me of scenes from the 70’s and days when you were into NBA fever, Nike dunks etc…It’s one of those tunes that is just perfect for sipping wine with your girl and chilling out to a lovely evening. What can I say, but it’s a (contemplating piece) for moments when you just need to relax your mind and contemplate Jazz. ZONE OUT…..(this tune gives me a black and white image of Big Ben or London Bridge whenever I hear it, don’t know why.) Maybe Marco should have changed the track title to “London Calling”, “London Bridge is Falling Down” or something…
On the whole, there is definitely a bit of a 21st Century feel to the tunes yet the warmth of the original elements portrayed in the 10 tracks still retains the album’s integrity not bastardizing Marco’s original sound. What else can I say folks, but get ready your dancing shoes and samba to the waltz…SIBEH HO Lahhh!!!!
Tangkap This!!!
