Ahh Valentine’s, the mother of all holidays. Valentine’s is the day commericialism run supreme, where lovers scramble to purchase the perfect gift or splurge over the most expensive dinner. Me? I don’t claim to be a romantic, and I certainly don’t believe in spending money on just one day to prove my love, but I must say I do enjoy an intimate walk downtown during Valentine’s. Because it’s always fun to watch the kids these days, with their big flowers, big hair and over-the-top wardrobe. That much I share with my wife on this special day.

But enough of me, I guess Valentine’s is a day to remember true love and be honest to with your own feelings. That is why I chose The System’s I Wanna Make You Feel Good for my spotlight track. Check the opening line: “I got nothing up my sleeves, no rabbit in my hat.” I just wanna make you feel good! That’s all there is to love, just make that special someone feel good! It’s so simple really, just like this 80’s synth-dance boogie number. A bit of guitar here, some drum-loops there, keyboards and a catchy synth pop rhythmn, and you’re in love. This kills it on the dance floor everytime, I dunno why they don’t make it as straightfoward as they used to. The sweet vocals from Mic Murphy really pulls the whole track together, also check out You’re In My System remix from Mr Kerri Chandler.

This is the track before sex, the part where they cut to an instrumental montage of couples having the time of the world. Sometimes they let it play on while the guy is struggling to get the bra undone but never more than that. If you are truly X-perimental, you can try it during sex and let us know how. Nevertheless it’s always fresh and totally danceable!

So please remember, forget the flowers and candies, just make your partner feel good! Happy V Day!

Tangkap This!!!
