This review has been a long time coming and finally I’m happy to share with everybody here a hip hop track that cuts out all of the bullshit gimmicks and goes straight for the core.. straight to da STREET! Every second of this beautiful remix by the one and only Jay Dee (aka J Dilla) is to be cherished by headz in da zone. Straight up purist beats and rhymes for those in the know and if you haven’t heard this one yet then I sugest you go listen to it a hundred times!

Released 13 years ago, this is Dilla showing off mad skills on the remix front with smoked up beats and choice selected sounds. The lyrics are stylo mylo and the phasing here is smooth as shit, flowing like water with heavy street flavours. I just can’t get enough of this track and keep finding myself listening to it every now and again. Evergreen hip hop yo :)

Round of applause as well for guest rapper The Foreigner. Don’t really know who he is but he did well in this recording giving the cut another dimension with his heavy Latino slangin’ and street styled rhymes. The Foreigner here really impresses the image of East LA Latino coolness where checkered shirts, bandanas and slick Ray Bans reprazent – “my steelo mad ruff…”

Anyway, trying to find this record is a real pain in the ass so to start tangkaping the full track, you might like to vist You Tube to start groovin’ right away.

“Bringing funk from the Caribbeans..” STEAMMMM!!!!

Tangkap This!!!
