Nothing beats a summer track which features nice melodies, catchy hooks and stylized soundscapes of coconut trees, bikini babes and your favourite cocktail by the beach. Mr. Andren really does just that in this department by showcasing his musical powers in the spotlight track “Summer Breeze.” Go hear it for yourself to obtain maximum pleasure as my review won’t do much justice. : )

I am a very big fan of the eclectic sound, but no one I know can really mix and match the various genres like Roman. His debut album titled “Juanita” contains 11 songs to whip up any mood. I am not really sure how to describe his music, but from his myspace website, you can more or less tell this Swedish dude is full on into the power sounds of music honchos like Quincy Jones, Sergio Mendes, Eumir Deodato, Roy Ayers and many more… I guess if you are a fan of these honchos just mentioned, you know you are going to be in for a musical treat. ; ) DOPE!!!!

Talk about freshness, Roman really is the new kid on the block giving back music headz the soulfulness and kicks not found commonly these days in the manufactured world of music. He does it exquisitely and most of all with class. Actually when I obtained the sampler from label owner Pete back in December 07, I was super excited that someone from Sweden could actually produce such a killer album with sounds hardly found these days. If you were to ask me to describe Roman and his production, he can do Club-Jazz, Funk, Soul, Bossa Nova, Latin and whatever you can think of within those lines of the musical avenue.

A real hero to me at the moment as Roman’s impeccable flair and attention to musical details has made him stand out from the rest of the wannabees.
